Your dryer vent is the air and moisture that comes out of the back side of your dryer. It needs to exit the house in order for the dryer to work properly. In most homes the dryer vents through a shiny flexible duct into the wall void pipe and then goes up and out of the house. This vent will block up on the roof first and then backfill that entire pipe with lint. This creates a fire hazard and causes many dryers to slow down or stop working all together.
